Its cover system, stealth mechanics, and engaging storyline could easily be remastered for console or PC. The same could be said of Resistance: Retribution, another strong third-person shooter that expanded its franchise’s universe while holding its own as a portable exclusive.
Then there are experimental gems like Echochrome and LocoRoco, which feel like they were made for today’s indie gaming scene. Their minimalism, originality, and charm are perfectly suited for re-release on services like PlayStation Plus or even as part of a larger indie showcase. PSP games remain a treasure trove of creative energy and genre-defying ideas. With the right updates, these classics could find new fans and remind the industry why handheld innovation still matters.
